Crystal Palace Park
About Crystal Palace Park
Crystal Palace Park has a national sports centre, a museum celebrating it's history, a children's farm, plenty of green space to run about in and even some full size dinosaurs. And that's just for starters.
The park has a good range of habitats, including a lake which is valuable for water birds.

Dinosaur Park
Special eventRecurring event
When Crystal Palace Park was constructed in the 1850s, it was arguably the world's first 'theme park' with a prehistoric landscape of the lower lakes and dinosaur park. The dinosaurs caused a sensation when the park was opened, as they were designed and built before Darwin's 'Origin of Species' was published. The recently restored dinosaurs were the first life sized replicas of the prehistoric reptiles ever built.
