Latest 5 reviews of Tamarind Restaurant
I dined at Tamarind for the first time a couple of days before Christmas and will definitely be returning. Despite the restaurant being very busy the service and food was excellent.
Tamarind has improved greatly over the years, and the 50% off Sunday Tasting Menu was perfect. There was so much food that we couldn't actually finish it, and whilst there were highs and lows in the menu, the highs were incredible (the chicken curry, wow!). All in all, excellent food and an unbelievable price (though the drinks were predictably expensive).
Ate at Tamarind on a 2-4-1 Sunday lunch offer, which made it really good value and the food was really good. Tamarind is one of the well known London Indian restaurants, but is unfortunately beginning to look a little dated, but it's still definitely worth a visit for the food!
having heard great reviews and being mitchlin stared i was expecting alot from Tamrind. However i was let down, the decor was average and we had the set lunch menu where the food was distinctly average. Sorry for a mitchilin restaurant i expected the wow factor or some innovitate coooking frankly i've had better in my local Indain restaurant, maybe the a la cart might be different on a plus side there was alot of food for the offer!!!
Was very impressed. Excellent food, and service will definitely ge going back
