About Babylon Restaurant

Amazing views, relaxed environment, central location, fantastic service and great seasonal menus – do these criteria tick all the right boxes when you’re looking for a restaurant? Babylon fulfils them all and takes bookings for anything from tables for two to a section seating up to 28 guests. It is also available for exclusive hire, seating 110 for a meal or hosting receptions for 150. There’s a private dining room too – it seats 12 and has its own balcony – and, in the summer, guests can dine alfresco on the terrace. Babylon is open daily for lunch, and for dinner from Monday to Saturday.

Toptable says about Babylon Restaurant

Situated one hundred feet above Kensington High Street, Babylon at the Roof Gardens has established itself as one of London's most impressive venues. The dining room is an elegant but contemporary space with a subtle 'nature' theme, emphasised by vivid greens and leaf motifs. Popular with local high-flyers and well-dressed foodies, the restaurant offers a classic British menu that changes with the seasons to feature the freshest seasonal produce. We love the sautéed diver scallops with smoked bacon and the tender fillet of Scottish beef with a rich Madeira jus. Be sure to leave room for the dessert - Babylon's apricot and Cointreau soufflé is a sensation. As you would expect, the service is impeccable and the wine list is full of hand-picked gems.

Babylon is all about tropical splendour which begins from the moment you get through the door and are greeted by a large aquarium full of exotic fish. Located in swanky Kensington High Street the venue itself sits 100 feet above ground level and offers brilliant views. Weather permitting head to the Spanish Gardens, sip cocktails or dinner and then strut you stuff on the dance floor.

Really gorgeous place, we had a birthday lunch here on a gorgeous sunny day. I was initially saddened by the gardens being closed for renovation and I'd booked this so early it hadn't been planned and thus we didn't know. Howeverour waitress Catherine really helped make it a special occasion, the chef even wrote happy birthday on our pudding (complete with candle ;) Food was wonderful, very opulent and comfortable surroundings, felt very luxurious. We will return!

Once again greatly enjoyed bringing foreign guests to Babylon at The Roof Gardens. Excellent food, beautifully plated, superior service. Only regret that the garden won't reopen till April.

The Babylon has a wonderful location, high up over the roof tops overlooking London.Starters and main courses were of excellent quality though the vegetarian lasagna main was tiny. The wines were grossly overpriced and of poor quality .Deserts too were a disappointment and the cheeseboard , tiny and expensive.Choose carefully and you can enjoy yourself.

Babylon at the Roof Gardens. A nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. The food wasn't as good as I was expecting (having read reviews on TT) and the waitress was a little too eager when re-filling our wine glasses. We had to tell her we could manage it from then on.
