review of Bengal Cuisine & Taja Indian Restaurant

Run by the husband and wife team Mr and Mrs Rashid, Bengal Cuisine is the classiest curry joint on the Brick Lane strip. Recently refurbished, the interior is light and airy - no fish tanks and flock wallpaper here - and the food, with one-time Curry Chef of the Year Mrs R at the helm, is sublime. Her fish tikka won her the award, so dive in.

Fantastic!! We had three courses and it was a very reasonably priced meal with very good service. Highly recommended and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
Took the in-laws for a curry at Bengal Cuisine on Brick Lane. The 7 courses for £12.95 was excellent value & includes a glass of wine or half of Kingfisher. Delicious food (and lots of it - no scrimping on the meat/prawns) but best bit was the service. Staff were friendly, attentive & very helpful, even with our menu changes & free naan bread thrown in when it arrived by acccident. Excellent. (FYI Famous fish dish only available off peak)
A great place to eat for a work night out. Very good value!
We went to Bengal Cuisine with TT offer - 5 courses for £10. The starter was small but the mains were normal size. We were pleasantly surprised with food, very nice. Would go back.
The food was suprisingly very good, the staff were friendly and the venue was perfect for what we needed. A meal for us all with a few beers and a few glasses of wine made the bill £21 a piece which I thought was quite reasonable.
I'd definitly visit the Bengal Cusine again.
