Toptable says about Ozer Restaurant
Dine like a pasha in this sumptuous, atmospheric restaurant that draws on the vast culinary influences of the Ottoman Empire, prepared and served with a light, modern touch. Fascinating. Choices might include meze like seared tuna in spice filo crust with ginger, fig and lime chutney or mains like roasted shoulder of lamb with kumquat and limequat marmalade. Don't miss the dill sorbet. Be prepared for a unique meal in a stylish, welcoming ambience. Ozer may conquer you.

restaurantguides.co.uK review of Ozer Restaurant

Ozer is the sister restaurant to budget Turkish fave Sofra. Indeed, aside from the slightly more opulent decoration deep red always looks good on a restaurant it could be the identical twin sister restaurant.
Happily, while its possibly aimed at a smarter set the locals around Langham Place, presumably the food, service and prices at Ozer are identical to the Sofra formula, i.e., good, friendly and sensible respectively. That says a lot of the group and owner Huseyin Ozer.
The Mixed Meze starter was typically fine, as was the bread and humus I tried to resist like a good Atkins convert but it just tasted too good. Mains a superbly marinated and cooked Chicken Shish and the lamb version of the same showed what you can do with this style of cuisine when your typical customer isnt lagered up and coming in after 11pm. Wine house red, Turkish, surprisingly quaffable washed it down in decent style. As for the service, this was as smiling and efficient as you get, even when circumstances a clumsy passerby, a menu and a candle conspired to ignite our table. Flames, such as they were, were extinguished with speed and aplomb and glasses of champagne appeared to apologise for any inconvenience.
Authentic? Probably not. Tasty and keenly priced? Without a shadow of a doubt.

The food at Ozer was fantastic but the service didn't match up unfortunately. When we first arrived we were only given the party menu and it took a little bit of persuading of the moody waitress to let us see the full menu. When she did finally relent she only brought one full menu for 7 people to look at - very annoying. Also, even though our drinks order was taken very quickly it took ages for the drinks to actually arrive.
Delicious food, but the service needs a little work.
Ozer was not the most obvious place for an xmas lunch with colleagues, but it didn't dissapoint. We all had the mixed meze which was delicious and hit the spot perfectly. They were very accomodating for the veggie and no lamb options as well. The place was absolutely buzzing as well, so so much for the credit crunch!
Despite the fact that due to unforeseen circumstances our party arrived an hour late for our booking, the staff at Ozer could not have been more charming and helpful. The food was delicious - the dips tasty and well spiced and the meat dishes fresh and well presented. Very good value for a restaurant so central and we will definitely be going again.
Be warne. Ozer is not the charming place it once was.Being of Turkish descent I raved about this place servin the best Turkish food. Now they over book themselves and then expect you to be herded into a table right in the middle of the cashiers desk. Upon realizing myself and my mum were fluent speaking Turks they decided to try and accomodate us better. We left. If you are fully booked stop taking bookings! It only leaves a sour taste and a loss of custom when you attempt to overbook.
BRILLIANT LUNCH VENUE, GREAT CHIOCES INDEED!
